2020 Ford Endeavour new TVC out: Have you seen it yet?
Just like other manufacturers, Ford has also started rolling out BS6 versions of their models in the country. They had launched BS6 versions of the EcoSport, Figo , Aspire and Freestyle earlier and the latest one to join the band was the Ford Endeavour. We got a chance to experience the new Ford Endeavour in Jaisalmer a couple of weeks ago and to read the detailed review of the 2020 Ford Endeavour click here. Ford Endeavour competes with cars like Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas in the segment. Now we have an official video from the Ford that shows the new TVC of the BS6 Ford Endeavour SUV.
The video focuses on the basic changes and updates that come with the new BS6 Ford Endeavour. The overall design of the new Ford Endeavour remains the same. Only changes on the outside is the new design given to the internal of the headlight and the removal of badge that says 3.2 litre or 2.2 litre from the side fender. Apart from that everything else remains the same as that of the BS4 version on the outside.
The video then starts showing the changes or updates in the Endeavor starting with the new Ford Pass mobile phone aapplication using which one can remotely control some of the functions of the car like switching it on or off, lock-inlock and so on. The biggest change however is the new BS6 compliant 2.0 litre four cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that replaces the older 3.2 litre and 2.2 litre turbo diesel engines. The engine is mated to world’s first 10-speed automatic transmission which helps Endeavour cruise on highways at lower rpms. The 10-speed automatic transmission and the smaller engine has also resulted in better fuel efficiency for the SUV.
The 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine of the Ford Endeavour now produces less power in comparison to older version. It now generates 170 Ps and 420 Nm of peak torque. The Endeavour still remains a capable SUV off the road and comes with low-ratio transfer case, differential lock, terrain modes and so on. The SUV’s tough, body-on-ladder frame gives it ruggedness. The BS6 Endeavour is available in Titanium and Titanium+ trims. The Titanium 4X2 AT trim is priced at Rs. 29.55 lakh while the Titanium+ 4X2 trim is priced at Rs. 31.55 lakh. The top of the line Titanium+ 4X4 trim is priced at Rs. 33.25 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, and introductory. Expect a mild increase in prices in the coming months.
