2020 Tata Harrier new TVC: check it out

Tata Motors recently launched their popular mid-size SUV Harrier in BS6 version in the Indian market. The 2020 Tata Harrier is launched with a couple of minor changes on both inside and outside. Tata Harrier was initially launched in the market an year ago and due to rising competition from cars like Kia Seltos, MG Hector in the segmnet, Tata Motors had to come up with a solution to maintain the momentum in sales. Here we have an official video from Tata Motors that shows what is new the 2020 version of the Tata Harrier.
The video has been uploaded by Tata Motors on their official youtube channel and it showcases all the new additions made to the car. The video starts by showing the exterior of the 2020 Harrier. The Harrier gets a new set of diamond cut alloy wheels and a redesigned ORVM on the outside. The Harrier is also available in two new colours. One is the Calypso Red that is shown in the TVC and the other is the Cocoa Sparkle. All these updates on the outside give Harrier an upmarket feel.
On the inside the basic layout of the interiors remain the same with leather wrapped steering wheel, seats, wooden insert on the dashboard and the floating touchscreen infotainment system and so on. The changes on the inside start from the driver side seat. The seat now gets a 6-way electrically adjustable feature. The IRVM is now auto-dimming and the major change on the inside is the huge panoramic sunroof.

The other change is the addition of an automatic transmission that was missing from the Harrier since it’s launch. The Harrier now gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission sourced from Hyundai. It continues to get the terrain response system and drive modes as before.
The other major change in the vehicle comes in the form of engine. The Tata Harrier 2020 gets a BS6 compliant 2.0 litre turbocharged Kryotec diesel engine that generated 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine is more powerful than before as it generates 30 PS more in comparison to the BS4 version. As part of the BS6 update the prices for the Harrier has also gone up. The prices for the Harrier now start at Rs 13.69 lakh and the automatic version start at Rs 16.25 lakh ex-showroom. The SUV rivals the likes of the MG Hector and Jeep Compass. Butch looks, a powerful diesel engine and a solid build are three major selling points.
