7 features the all-new Hyundai Creta offers that the pricier MG Hector doesn’t
Hyundai launched the all-new Creta in the Indian market recently and as always, the new Hyundai model is packed with features. The Hyundai Creta is a mid-size SUV that takes on the likes of Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur in the market. The Hyundai Creta launched at a price of Rs 9.99 lakhs while the MG Hector is priced at Rs 12.74 lakhs! Yes, the MG Hector is slightly bigger than the Creta in size and offers more cabin too. However, there are many features that the MG Hector does not offer but the more affordable Hyundai Creta offers.
Traction control based modes
The newly launched Hyundai Creta offers traction-control based terrain modes like the Mud, Snow and Sand. It is not AWD system and will not make the vehicle go through any kind of terrain but it sure helps the car to reach tougher spots and helps the driver to have more control of the vehicle in such terrains. MG Hector does not offer any such feature.
Paddle shifters
The MG Hector offers a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with the petrol version while the newly launched also offers a similar set-up with the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. However, the Creta offers more control over the transmission and allows the driver to change the gears through paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.
Air purifier
Hyundai Venue is the first affordable car in the market to offer an air purifier in India. Hyundai has now launched a more advanced version of the purifier that is integrated into the car itself. The air purifier helps in reducing the pollutants inside the cabin and keeps the occupants safe. No such option is available with the Hector.
Twin exhaust tip
The Hyundai Creta offers the twin-exhaust tip, which is first in the segment. It does not offer much apart from the look and feels. The twin exhaust tips add a sportier stance to the Creta and make it look much aggressive on the roads.
BlueLink Smart Watch
While the MG Hector became the first car in the affordable segment to offer voice commands and connected technology, the Hyundai Creta offers those features too and also offers a Smartwatch application that allows that owner to control the vehicle, lock/unlock it through the watch itself. The MG Hector does not offer any such feature but offers a smartphone app that does a similar job.
Ventilated seats
The higher-end variants of the Hyundai Creta offer front ventilated seats that can be controlled individually through the buttons on the central console. This is a feature that is very helpful, especially during the summer season.
Wireless phone charger
A lot of smartphones now offer wireless charging system and the Hyundai Creta offers a charging pad that can charge such smartphones. There is no need to plug in wires in the car to charge the phone now. It is as easy as putting the phone on a pad and charging it.
