Tata Harrier BS6 now available at discounts: Details

Tata Motors just like any other manufacturer had started updating their line up to meet BS6 emission norms. They had launched their BS6 range of vehicles at the beginning of this year and also launched the Harrier SUV with an automatic transmission which was missing in the car ever since its launch. Along with the BS6 engine, Tata Motors had also made some changes to the Harrier to make it more relevant in the already competitive mid-size SUV segment. Now, just months after the launch of the 2020 Harrier, Tata Motors is offering discounts on the BS6 models.

As part of the discount, Tata Motors is giving a maximum discount of Rs 30,000 on the 2020 BS6 Tata Harrier. The discount offer includes an exchange bonus worth Rs 30,000. This offer is part of their Navratri celebration discount and is available on both Manual and recently launced automatic versions of the Harrier. It should be noted that the offer is valid for a limited time only. So if anyone was planning to buy the new Harrier, this can be the time.

Harrier 11

The updated or 2020 Tata Harrier came with a number of changes. On the outside, the Harrier BS6 version gets a new diamond cut alloy wheel and a redesigned ORVM. Apart from that everything else remains the same on the outside. On the inside, it now gets features like electrically adjustable driver seat, huge panoramic sunroof, auto dimming IRVM and is now available in two new colours – one is Calypso Red and the other is Cocoa Sparkle.

Harrier 5

The biggest change however is the new automatic transmission that has been sourced from Hyundai. It uses a 6-speed automatic torque converter unit. Tata Motors has also updated the engine during the BS6 transition.

The engine remains the same 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel unit however, the engine now produces 170 PS instead of 140 PS in the BS6 version. The torque figure remains the same at 350 Nm of torque.

Harrier 2

With BS6 updates the prices for the Tata Harrier has gone up. The price for manual Tata Harrier now starts at Rs 13.69 lakh and the automatic version starts at Rs 16.25 lakh. all the prices are ex-showroom. The 2020 Harrier will soon have a sibling in the form of the Gravitas, which sits on the same platform but gets a different body shell with a higher roof. The Gravitas will seat 6 and will be launched in the second half of 2020.
