11 seat Kia Carnival: Walkaround video reveals more
Kia Motors made their entry into the Indian market last year with Kia Seltos and quickly became popular among buyers. After Seltos Kia launched their luxury MPV Kia Carnival which is also getting good response from the customers. Kia Carnival is not a new car like Seltos. Carnival is already available in international market under different names. In India, Carnival is available in three seating options of 7, 8 and 9. Internationally there is one more version available where it can seat upto 11 people. Here we have a video that shows how does the 11 seater version of the Kia Carnival looks like from the inside.
The video has been shared on Facebook and focuses more on the interior or seating capacity of the Carnival. The video starts by showing the exterior which is similar to the version sold in India. Then the video shows the driver cabin of the car where it has a well designed plush looking cabin with touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls and other features. It is similar to the Indian version of the Carnival with tri-zone climate control switches and switches for sunroof and electrically opening sliding doors.
The second row of seats have captain seats with a huge armrest in the middle with cupholders in it. Those armrests can be tilted to generate space between the seats. The third row of seat is also similarly designed with an armrest in the middle. These arm rests are actually seats that can be folded when not in use.
Like a regular Carnival, after the third row of seat there is a large amount of boot space. That is where the fourth row of seats are. The seats sink in to the floor of the car creating an even surface when not in use. The fourth row of seat can easily be pulled up and can seat 3 people. The only problem after this is that it will not have space to keep luggage.
The seating layout in the 11 seater Kia Carnival goes like 2+3+3+3. Kia Carnival is a huge vehicle which is almost 5.1 meter long and is very spacious inside. In India it is powered by a 2.2 litre turbo charged diesel engine that generates 220 PS and 440 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 11 seater version of the Carnival is unlikely to be launched in the Indian market. Price for the Kia Carnival in India start at Rs 24.95 lakh and go up till Rs 33.95 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
