Hyundai Creta 7-seat SUV: What it’ll look like

Hyundai is India’s second largest car manufacturer after Maruti Suzuki. They have a wide variety of cars in their line up. One of the recent cars that was launched by the South Korean manufacturer is the Hyundai Creta. The next-gen Creta is a completely new SUV from what we had seen so far. It offers more features, looks more premium and even the engine options are different from before. Hyundai is also working on a 7-seater version of the Creta and the car has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage couple of times. Here we have a render created by an artist, showing what the upcoming 7-seater version of the Creta might look like.

The renders have been created and uploaded by an artist Kleber Silva. The artist has named the 7-seater version as Hyundai Grand Creta as it is bigger than the regular Creta. The render is based on the recently launched Hyundai Creta. Starting from the front, The grille has a similar design with chrome outlines. The black elements in the grille get a different design in comparison to the regular 5-seater Creta.

It retains the boomerang shaped split LED DRLs, Trio Beam LED headlamp, faux skid plate, fog lamps and turn indicators on the lower side of the bumper. Coming to the side profile of the car, this is where the artist has added different things. The lighting arch C Pillar is not there anymore. There is chrome strip running around the windows starting from the front to the rear. The SUV now looks longer than before in order to accommodate third row of seat. The alloy wheels also get a different design.

The rear of the upcoming 7-seater Creta is likely to different from the regular Creta. It is likely to get a differently designed full LED tail light unit with a connecting LED strip running between the lights. The rear bumper of the car will also be revised and will get a twin exhaust tip with a faux skid plate.

The regular 5-seater Creta is available with a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol with manual or CVT gearbox, a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine with manual or automatic gearbox and a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The same engines and gearboxes are likely to be seen in the upcoming 7-seater version. Also, the new SUV is likely to remain a front wheel driven model, just like the regular, 5 seat Creta. A launch by the end of 2020 or early 2021 is likely.
