Royal Enfield Meteor 350: This is IT!

Royal Enfield has been testing the Meteor motorcycle for a long time on the Indian roads now. The all-new Meteor 350 is yet to be officially launched in the market but the price and all the details about the bike have been leaked online. Known as the Meteor 350 Fireball, the bike gets a price tag of Rs 1.68 lakhs, ex-showroom.

Pictures posted by Automobili Infiniti, the all-new Royal Enfield Meteor shown here are from the official configurator of the manufacturer. The Meteor is likely to replace the Royal Enfield Thunderbird X from the market. The Meteor name makes a comeback to the Royal Enfield stable after years. It used to be an iconic motorcycle that was available even in the American market. The Thunderbird X offers funkier looks and the Meteor will carry forward the attributes but with improved dynamics.

This is the BS6 compliant motorcycle and is priced slightly higher than the Royal Enfield Thunderbird. The Thunderbird X 350 is priced at Rs 1.63 lakhs. The leaked pictures show that the Meteor 350 offers a new instrument cluster. It is much larger than the instrument cluster available on the Thunderbird X and is off-set towards the left. The instrument cluster also gets a small digital display that will likely to display the odometer and trip meter readings. Further details of the instrument cluster are not known. Royal Enfield is likely to offer a host of new features with the new instrument cluster.


The bike also features a brand-new circular all-new LED daytime running light in a ring form. The bike can also be seen with a stepped seat set-up and a circular tail lamp. The all-black alloy wheels can be seen with slick pinstripes that match the colour of the fuel tank.


The bike will be available with a host of optional accessories. One of the accessories listed on the site is the tinted flyscreen that is priced at Rs 1,750. There will be many more accessories available with the bike just like any other Royal Enfield motorcycle.


The Meteor also gets a brand-new double-cradle chassis. It is known as the J-platform and will underpin a host of upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycles in the future. The bike also comes powered by a new engine. The details about the engine remain unknown but it gets SOHC system for valvetrain and fuel injection system with an O2 sensor. The power and torque figures are not known yet.

It retains the telescopic front fork and twin suspension in the rear. The pictures show that the bike gets disc brakes with dual-channel ABS too. Since India is currently under lockdown, we can expect Royal Enfield to officially announce the price details of the Meteor soon in the coming months.
