Tata launches ‘Click to Drive’ digital sales platform
To use the service, customers need to register on the Click to Drive website, select their preferred car, browse through video brochures explaining its many features and book the model in their preferred variant and colour from a dealership of their choice. Additionally, buyers for the Altroz have access to a virtual configurator that allows them to preview the car in a spec of their choice.
Following the booking, buyers will be contacted by the Tata Motors call centre and a sales consultant from the chosen dealer and be guided through the entire purchasing process, including providing the on-road price, the option for financial assistance and valuation of their existing car. Customers can choose to complete the process over email, WhatsApp or video call.
Finally, the customer can decide whether to pick up the car from the selected dealership or have it home delivered at a later date.
Tata’s launch of the digital sales platform follows a similar move by Hyundai, which made its ‘Click to Buy’ platform available across the country earlier this month. The introduction of an online sales platform allows customers another avenue to purchase cars, while also improving convenience for them by reducing the need to physically visit a showroom.
