Tata Tiago after 3 years, 35,000 Kms: Ownership review on video

Tata Tiago is one of the popular small hatchbacks sold by the Indian manufacturer in the market. It competes with cars like Maruti WagonR, S-Presso, Renault Kwid in the segment. It is famous among buyers because of its looks and the build quality that it offers. Tiago is also one of the safest hatchbacks in its segment with a 4 star rating in Global NCAP crash test. Here we have video where a Tiago owner shares the experience of owning the hatchback for over 3 years and how the car feels after it does around 35,000 km on the odometer.
The video has been uploaded by Ridiculously Amazing on his youtube channel. The video establishes the fact that the car is no longer with him as he had sold it for buying a bigger vehicle which in this case is a Nexon compact SUV. The Tiago has been with the vlogger for  a period of approximately 3 years and during this time it had done around 35,000 kms on the odometer.
The owner had taken this car to numerous locations mainly hill station and he was pretty impressed with the way the car had tackled all the situations during those trips. The car during its time with the owner had spent a lot of time on rough, broken and snow filled roads. On all these sections the car performed well and never broke down even once.

The Owner was pretty impressed with the ride quality when the car took the rough sections of the road and even after having small tyres and low ground clearance it never hit the bottom when driving on rough roads or while crossing a small river. He was also impressed with the fuel economy that it returned. In city the Tiago according to the video returned him around 17-18 kmpl whereas on long highway trips it easily returned a 21-22 kmpl which is commendable for a petrol car.

Another thing that impressed the vlogger was the build quality. He says on video that the car had two accidents in the past and the car survived both accidents and the occupants were also safe. Overall he was pretty impressed with the Tiago’s performance, build quality and the fuel economy. He also mentions that Tata is working on improving their service network and the effort is visible at service centres.
Tata Tiago was available with a petrol and diesel engine before but with the BS6 update Tata Motors gave Tiago a facelift and the car is now available only with a petrol engine which is a 1.2 litre unit and is available with manual and AMT gearbox options.
