10 year-old driving a Hyundai Creta SUV is exactly what you don’t want your kids to do [Video]

The legal age of driving a vehicle in India is 18 years old. This age might differ by a few years depending on the country but no country in the world legally allows a 10-year-old to drive on the public roads. Sadly, in India, there are many young, underage kids who drive cars and ride motorcycles and they do it with the permission of their parents. Here is a video that shows a 10-year-old child driving a Hyundai Creta on the public roads.

The child here has been portrayed as a hero of a song. The video shows the child driving around with an accomplice and that too on the public roads. The car used in the video is a Hyundai Creta, which is not a small vehicle by any means. The child can be seen driving the vehicle around the town and taking narrow gaps too. He can also be seen taking the car in reverse and parking it in the garage. We are not sure if any trick shots have been used to shoot the video but it truly seems like the child is driving the vehicle around.

What the child has done here is quite commendable and his driving skills sure are appreciable. We don’t think many adults can do the same in a car. However, what he did is illegal and is extremely dangerous for himself and the other motorists on the road.

This is not the first time that the kid handled a car for sure. It seems like he has been practising driving a car and he did not seem to look nervous at all. The legal driving age in India is 18 years old and the authorities allow 16 years old to ride non-geared two-wheelers.

What’s wrong with a child driving a car?

Well, the children cannot take decisions and that is why a few things are reserved only for adults. It is an automatic vehicle and the child can be spotted using both his feet to operate the pedals. The kid is also using a steering spinner, which is an extremely dangerous accessory and can cause the car to go out of control. Both the passengers in the car are no wearing a seatbelt too.

In India, many parents have been punished to allow their minor children to drive or ride. Many accidents have also happened in the past that involves underage children. This is why no one should be allowed to drive without a license and if the parents do want the child to learn driving at a young age, private race tracks are a perfect place to do so. However, one should not do it on the public roads where many other unsuspecting people also drive around.
