2020 Honda WR-V fully REVEALED ahead of launch

Honda was expected to launch the updated version of the WR-V in the Indian market last month. However, due to the COVID-19 related lockdown across India, Honda delayed the launch. The WR-V has now reached the dealerships and the launch of the car is imminent. Here are the first pictures of the new Honda WR-V.

Honda officially started accepting the bookings for the new WR-V sometime back. With a payment of Rs 21,000, Honda accepted the bookings through various channels. Now that the lockdown rules are slowly relaxed across the country in the safe zones, the manufacturer is planning to officially announce the price and start the deliveries of the new WR-V too.

The new BS6 compliant WR-V gets a few visual changes and looks fresh in the market. The new pictures of the car put up by Ritesh Soni show that car from all around. The vehicle is parked at a dealership yard. The new model gets an updated grille with new horizontal slats. It replaces the older mesh-type grille and looks bolder in design. The other changes in the car include new LED projector lamps, which will replace the older halogen units in the top-end variants. The rear lamps have been updated too and the new WR-V gets C-shaped lamps that make it look futuristic.

In the cabin, the changes are minor and include new seat fabric. The WR-V will offer most of the features that were available with the previous version of the car. The car also gets new seat fabric. The new Honda WR-V also gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS based navigation. The infotainment system also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features include cruise control system, semi-digital instrument panel, automatic climate control system, keyless entry, push-start/stop button and more. Honda will continue to offer the same feature list as before. The new WR-V will get dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera, and brake override system.

The new Honda WR-V will be offered with SV MT and VX MT in petrol and diesel variants. The SV MT variant will offer features like dual airbags, ABS+EBD, reverse parking camera and sensors, speed alert system, alloy wheels, electric mirrors, and a rear defogger. This variant will offer the Honda Digipad. The VX MT variant will get additional features like LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED fog lamps, armrest, cruise control,, leather-wrapped steering wheel and more.

The car will offer the 1.2-litre BS6 compliant petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 88 Bhp and peak torque of 110 Nm. The engine gets a five-speed manual transmission. The diesel version will come with a 1.5-litre BS6 diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 98 Bhp and 200 Nm. It gets a 6-speed transmission.
