2020 Hyundai Santa Fe: New safety feature will ensure ‘safe door opening’ [Video]

Hyundai has launched the all-new Santa Fe SUV in the USA market and comes with an array of high-end features. The all-new Santa Fe has become bolder and looks extremely different from the older versions. It should be noted that Hyundai India offered the Santa Fe in our market but it was discontinued due to the low sales. Here is a video that shows the high-tech feature of the 2020 Santa Fe.

This video shows the Safe Exit Assist feature of the Santa Fe, which can be extremely useful. This features detects any pedestrian or vehicular movement behind the car and does not lets the passenger unlock the door and get out of the vehicle. Opening the door in the wrong way causes numerous accidents around the world. Opening the doors of the car without checking the surroundings can cause massive accidents.

There have been times in the past when opening the door suddenly caused crashes with pedestrians, other vehicles and even cyclist. The new feature will ensure that the doors do not open when the vehicle detects any such activity around the car.

Other features in the all-new Santa Fe include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, which automatically applies the brakes of the vehicle it detects another vehicle on the road or a pedestrian crossing the road. The system can also take over the steering and sway away from the vehicle in front. It also gets rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear occupant alert, lane keep assist, driver attention warning, ultrasonic rear occupant alert and smart cruise control that automatically changes the speed of the vehicle to match the speed of the vehicle in front.

Hyundai has always been known for offering a huge list of features on its cars and the Santa Fe is no different. The car gets features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen display, 12-speaker audio system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone charger, BlueLink, leather seats, remote keyless entry, panoramic sunroof, hands-free smart tailgate and many more such features.

The all-new Santa Fe is designed with the latest design language of the brand. The Sensual Sportiness design theme can be seen on all the new Hyundai cars. The similar design theme will be on the all-new Hyundai Elite i20 that will be launched in the Indian market later this year. Hyundai will not launch the all-new Santa Fe in the market anytime soon due to the unpopularity of the SUV in the past. However, Hyundai will launch the new Tucson, the new Elite i20 this year in the Indian market. The brand has already launched the all-new Aura, Creta earlier this year. The manufacturer has also launched the facelifted Verna.
