2020 Maruti Ciaz: Check out the latest TVC

Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest car manufacturer and has a wide range of cars sold here. The Maruti Ciaz is one such popular car in the market and is a mid-size sedan that competes with cars such as the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Skoda Rapid in the C segment. It was originally launched in 2014 and currently we have the facelifted and updated version on sale that was launched in 2018. The car is actually a premium offering and is being sold via Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa dealerships. Here we have a new TVC of Maruti Ciaz that shows why is this one of the best selling mid-size sedan in the market.

The video has been uploaded to Nexa’s official youtube channel. The video stresses on how comfortable this sedan actually is. It shows the spacious interiors and premium looking interiors. The whole car has an upmarket feel. Specially after the facelift, Ciaz looks more premium than before. It has a gloss black grille with chrome strip on top and bottom. The headlights get projector type lamps and fog lamps. The rear also gets a boomerang shaped chrome garnish.

On the inside, it has leather wrapped steering wheels and interiors. There is a touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The  Ciaz was available with a petrol and diesel engine earlier but due to stricter emission norms and Maruti’s new brand philosophy, they had to dump the diesel engine.

It is now available with a BS6 compliant 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that is developed by Suzuki in-house. The engine generates a maximum of 105 Ps and 138 Nm of torque. It is the same engine that we have seen in other Maruti cars like Eriga, XL6 and recently launched 2020 Brezza petrol.

This engine also gets Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid System which acts as a torque assist in lower rpms and also helps in increasing the efficiency of Ciaz. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options. Price for the BS6 Maruti Ciaz starts at Rs 8.31 lakh ex-showroom for Sigma trim and go up to Rs 11.09 lakh ex-showroom for the top-end Alpha trim. The Ciaz is one of the most spacious cars in its segment, and also has a comfortable ride.
