2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift spotted at dealer stockyard

India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki had launched almost all there vehicles with a BS6 complaint engine. The latest car to get the BS6 update was the Maruti Suzuki Dzire compact sedan. Maruti had launched Dzire in March and since then a lot has changed all over the world. We are all currently going through the nationwide lockdown and this has affected the operations of almost every sector in the country. The facelifted 2020 Maruti Dzire has now been spotted for the first time since its launch at a dealer stockyard.

The images have been shared online by Gaadiwaadi on their website. It looks like the variant seen in the pictures is the base variant as it does not have any features on the outside. Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the most popular sub-4 meter compact sedan in the market and competes with cars like Hyundai Aura, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Figo Aspire, Honda Amaze and so on. Along with the updated BS6 engine, the 2020 version got some cosmetic changes to make it look more premium and relevant in this highly competitive segment.

The updated Dzire received number of changes. Starting with the front, the grille has been redesigned and is larger than before. The bumper has also been redesigned and there is a chrome garnish around the fog lamp area. In the top end trim the alloy Dzire gets a new dual toone alloy wheel whereas the lower trims continue to get the steel rims.

On the inside, the BS6 Maruti Dzire gets a colour multi information display (MID) on the instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control and other standard features like airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors and ESC, Hill Hold Assist as standard feature for AMT version.

The BS4 version of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire was available with a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.3 litre diesel engine options. The diesel engine has now been completely dumped from every Maruti vehicle as part of their new brand philosophy and the Dzire now gets a petrol engine. The petrol engine on the Dzire is the same 1.2 lite dual jet unit found in Baleno premium hatchback that generates 90 Ps power. Price for the BS6 Maruti Dzire now starts at Rs 5.89 lakh, ex-showroom. Maruti has now come up with services where customer can book, buy or customise a car online via their website and they are also providing a door step delivery of vehicle after sanitising it properly.
