BS6 Honda Amaze gets Rs 32,000 worth of benefits

  • BS6 Amaze buyer gets free extended warranty worth Rs 12,000 for 4th and 5th year

  • Exchange bonus worth Rs 20,000 also on offer

  • Benefits available on all variants and powertrain options

Honda dealers have been authorised to offer total benefits and discounts worth Rs 32,000 on the BS6-compliant Amaze compact sedan. These benefits – which can be availed on all variants and engine-gearbox options of the BS6 Amaze – include a free extended five-year warranty and an exchange bonus.

The Honda Amaze is available in four trim levels (E, S, V and VX) offered with four engine-gearbox options. The 90hp/110Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine comes with 5-speed manual and CVT-automatic options. The 1.5-litre Amaze diesel unit makes 100hp and 200Nm of torque when mated to the 5-speed manual; and 80hp and 160Nm of torque when paired to the CVT. For now, the BS6 Amaze is the fifth-most fuel-efficient diesel car on sale here.

The Honda Amaze faces fierce competition from the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire (which has recently been given a facelift and is also on discount this month), the Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire and Tata Tigor. The smooth CVT-automatic gearbox (available on all but the base variant) is one of the reasons why this compact sedan is one of Honda’s bestsellers. The comfortable cabin is also a factor.

Honda Cars India has begun limited operations – 118 showrooms and 155 service centres have reopened as of May 12 – and has also introduced an online portal to book and buy cars called 'Honda From Home'. The Japanese brand will soon add the BS6-compliant Jazz and its facelifted cross-hatch counterpart, the WR-V. Soon after, Honda will also announce fifth-gen Honda City prices. The all-new City will get a new 1.5-litre twin-cam petrol engine and be sold alongside the current model, which is available in May with benefits up to Rs 1 lakh.
