Corona virus has badly affected the automobile sector and many manufacturers are finding it it difficult to sell even a single unit. In order to improve customer sentiments, Maruti Suzuki has now come up with new schemes that will make the experience of buying a new car much more easy and affordable. The new scheme is called ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ which is aimed to provide easy financing options to the customer. Maruti Suzuki has started opening dealerships across various cities and there is also an option where prospective buyer can either book, customise and even buy a Maruti car online and also get it delivered to their door step.
Maruti Suzuki has partnered with Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Limited (CIFCL), one of the leading Non-Banking Financial Companies to help provide customised retail financing solutions to retail buyers. The ‘Buy now pay later scheme’ will allow customers to tart paying the EMIs after 60 days of loan disbursement.
Talking about the new financing initiative, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki said,

Customers have always been at the heart of Maruti Suzuki’s efforts of making personal mobility accessible. The partnership with Cholamandalam Investment & Finance company Limited will boost convenience by offering customized retail financing to the customers. It is aimed to offer comfort to buyers who may have faced liquidity crunch during the COVID-19 lockdown. I am sure that the “Buy-Now-Pay-Later Offer” will encourage customers towards car purchase without putting immediate extra pressure on their pockets.
Both Maruti Suzuki and Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Limited have a wide coverage all over India. Maruti has 3,086 dealerships across 1,964 cities. This vast spread network will help in making this scheme more accessible to people. The offer is available on select Maruti Suzuki models and will be applicable on loan disbursement till 30th June 2020.
Maruti Suzuki has a variety of cars in their line up. Almost every car they offer is now BS6 compliant. The S-Cross premium crossover is the only vehicle in the line up to get a BS6 update and will soon be getting one. Maruti Suzuki as started opening dealerships across various cities and they will all be following the strict guidelines in order to contain the spread of Corona virus.
The next big launch from Maruti Suzuki will be the BS6 compliant S-Cross Petrol, due in June 2020. Bookings for the crossover are already open at Maruti Suzuki’s NEXA dealerships.
