Tata Altroz premium hatchback gets its first-ever discount
Tata Motors made their entry into the premium hatchback segment earlier this year with the launch of their new model Altor0z. it competes with cars like Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz in the segment. Most car manufacturers are going through tough times because of the ongoing Corona Virus lockdown. Tata Motors is also affected badly by the sales drop, and has now come up with discount offer for its latest offering – the Altroz premium hatchback. Tata Altroz is the safest car in the segment with 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash test, and Tata is now offering a maximum discount of Rs 45,000 on the hatchback.
The Altroz is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and the offer is valid on both engine options. As most of the dealerships are closed due to the ongoing situation, Tata Motors has started also started a digital sales platform where customers can choose models, book and buy their cars online. Tata calls this ‘Click to Drive’ and using this platform one can also plan delivery of the vehicle once the payment is made. The discounts is available for the month of May and can be availed online via ‘Click to Drive’ or customers can go to select dealerships that will be opening soon.

Altroz is a good looking premium hatchback that makes use of Tata’s Impact 2.0 design philosophy. It is based on ALFA platform which will be the base for many more cars in future including the Hornbill (HBX) micro SUV. The Altroz gets projector type headlamps, split LED tail lights, dual tone alloy wheels, 90 degree opening doors for better ingress and egress, and dual tone boot. On the inside, car gets features like flat bottom multi-function steering wheel, semi-digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment screen, ambient lighting and so on.
As mentioned above, Altroz is available in two engine options. a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel engine. The petrol version generates a maximum of 85 Ps and 114 Nm of torque and diesel unit generates 90 Ps and 200 Nm of torque. As of now, Altroz is only available with a manual gearbox. Tata is working on an automatic version and is likely to launch the DCT gearbox version in an year. A turbo petrol engine will also be offered on the car shortly. Price for Tata Altroz starts at Rs 5.29 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.29 lakh (prices are ex-showroom).
