This modified Mahindra Bolero 4×4 looks really cool [Video]

The Bolero is one of the oldest vehicles sold by Mahindra in India. It has been present in the market for almost two decades and is still one of the popular utilitarian vehicle that buyers love. Even after so many years of its launch, Balero has fan following both in rural and urban market. It is also one of the popular UV among people who love modify their car into an off-road friendly machine. We have seen several examples of the same in the past and have featured some of them on the website too. Here we have one such modified Bolero 4×4 that really looks cool.

The video has been uploaded by Auto Expedition on their youtube channel. The video list all the modifications that are made to this Bolero that makes it a proper off-roader. The video starts by introducing the vehicle itself. The modifications are done on a 2007 Mahindra Bolero which used to get a different design than the one that we generally see on our roads today.

The owner of the car has retained the old school looks of the Bolero. The front grille was similar to the Mahindra Invader with rectangle headlamps and turn indicators integrated on to the front bumper. There are couple of hood locks also placed on the car. The other noticeable change on the Bolero 4×4 is a snorkel and the additional LED lights that are placed right in front of the windscreen to give better visibility at night.

The owner has also installed Hummer styled LED lights on top of the roof. Coming to the side profile, it suddenly feels like the car sits too high than before. The owner had removed the footrest and had also added a 3-inch lift kit that increases the ground clearance of the Bolero. The other noticeable change is the 15 inch alloy wheels with Mud terrain tyres wrapped around it.

At the rear, no major modifications are made to the Bolero and same is the case with the interiors too. The vehicle in the video is powered by a 2.5 litre diesel engine with no modifications done to the engine. The current-gen BS6 version of Bolero is powered by a smaller 1.5 litre diesel engine that generates 75 Ps and 195 Nm of peak torque and prices for the same start at Rs 7.98 lakh, ex-showroom. The Bolero is India’s best selling MUV and is known for its hardy nature, low maintenance and bomb proof reliability.
