Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat variant launched at Rs 79,091

  • New Pulsar 125 variant gets split-seat, split grab rails and belly pan

  • Priced Rs 4,000 over the disc brake variant

  • Mechanically identical to the Pulsar 125 disc brake variant

Bajaj Auto has launched the Pulsar 125 Split Seat variant in India at Rs 79,091. As the name suggests, it features a split-seat, unlike the single-piece unit on the Pulsar 125 disc brake variant that is priced at Rs 75,462. For the additional Rs 4,000, the Pulsar 125 Split Seat also gets a few cosmetic changes such as split grab rails and a belly pan. Besides these visual differences, the Pulsar 125 Split Seat is mechanically identical to the Pulsar 125 disc brake.

The Pulsar 125 was introduced in August 2019, and Bajaj says that it managed to sell over 1 lakh units within the first six months of its launch. The new Pulsar 125 Split Seat aims to attract premium commuter segment customers who are looking for motorcycles with sportier designs. The Pulsar 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant, 124.4cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that develops 11.8hp at 8,500 rpm and 10.8Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

The new variant is available in three colour options - Black Red, Black Silver and Neon Green with Matt Black. As far as competition is concerned, the Pulsar 125 Split Seat goes up against the Honda SP 125 and the Hero Glamour 125.

All prices, ex-showroom Delhi.
