You can now subscribe to the MG Hector & eZS SUVs

MG Motor made their entry into Indian market last year and their first product Hector became popular among buyers in a short span of time. It was so popular that MG actually had to stop taking bookings from customer because of the huge demand. The MG Hector competes with cars like Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta in the mid-size SUV segment. MG Motor has now joined hands with Myles, a self-drive car rental firm, and will now be providing Hector to customers on subscription basis. This partnership was announced back in 2019 and is now finally coming into effect post lockdown. Even the MG eZS electric SUV is available through the subscription route.

Myles, as mentioned above is a car rental firm, and has recently added Hector SUV on their website. In comparison to other models on their website, Myles is offering a different package for Hector. The customer can opt for subscription plans as short as 6 months to as long as 5 years. It also offers easy exit plans at any time to its customers. The subscription package starts as low as Rs 40,000 depending upon the kilometres done. It comes with insurance, maintenance, road side assistance and also comes with tax saving options.

This scheme is currently available for customers in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune. Once the customer has finalised on the Hector variant, he can upload documents for verification and also make payments which is the subscription fee. The subscription agreement will also be signed online and once all the paperwork is done, a completely sanitised MG Hector will be delivered to the customer’s registered address.

MG Hector is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine which produces 141 Bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It is available with a manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox options. The diesel version of Hector is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged unit that we have seen in Jeep Compass. This engine generates 168 Bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is also available with a smart hybrid petrol version.

MG Motors also has ZS EV which is a fully electric SUV in their lineup. It is also available for subscription on the website. The manufacturer had also showcased, the 7-seater version of Hector known as Hector Plus at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The launch of the MG Hector Plus is expected to happen in the next couple of months.
