2020 Hyundai Creta: New base variant launched, prices of other variants hiked
Hyundai’s all-new Creta, which was launched earlier this year has a tremendous fan following. It is currently the best-selling vehicle in its segment and is leading the pack by a big margin. With the rising popularity, Hyundai has now introduced a new base variant, which makes the all-new Creta more accessible. The new Hyundai Creta E petrol is now priced at Rs 9.82 lakh as opposed to the earlier EX variant, which retailed at Rs 9.99 lakhs. Prices of all the existing variants have increased by Rs 12,000 to Rs 62,000 depending on the variant.
The EX petrol variant of the Hyundai Creta gets a hike of Rs 62,000, which is highest of all the variants. All the other variants including the petrol and diesel ones get a price hike of Rs 12,000. It should be noted that Hyundai has not hiked the price of the base diesel variant, which is the E variant. It continues to be priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, which is the launch price of the SUV. With the introduction of Creta E petrol, the model has now become cheaper than the Kia Seltos, which starts at Rs 9.89 lakhs.
The all-new Creta was launched earlier this year and currently leads the segment with a big margin. The Creta offers a long list of features and the top-end variant of the car and many of these features are first-in-segment. There are three different engine options available with the all-new Creta and you can choose from manual or automatic transmission options with both petrol and diesel engine options. There are numerous variants of the Hyundai Creta that makes it a perfect choice for different kinds of customers looking for different kinds of choices.

The cabin of the all-new Creta has been updated thoroughly too. To start with the new massive 10.25-inch infotainment screen with BlueLink connected technology. The 7.0-inch Supervision instrument cluster is all-digital and offers a premium look to the car. The top-end variants will also offer 8-speaker system from Bose and features like Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, wireless charging and a massive panoramic sunroof. The car also offers ambient lighting system, air purifier and more.
The Creta gets a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that develops a maximum power of 115 PS and peak torque of 144 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic. The diesel variants are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 115 PS and peak torque of 250 Nm. The most powerful of all is the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum of 140 PS and a peak torque of 242 Nm. It only gets a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
