All-new Mahindra Thar races past 9,000 bookings: Deliveries from November 2020

The all-new Mahindra Thar, which was launched on 2nd October, 2020, has raced past 9,000 bookings in just 3 days of bookings opening. Bookings opened on launch day. Customers have the choice of either booking the 4X4 SUV online, or offline at Mahindra dealerships.  Deliveries will commence from November 2020. Waiting periods are likely to be high if such demand persists. If you want to drive home the Thar without a long waiting time, you’re advised to book one immediately.

Veejay Nakra, Chief Executive Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said,

We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response and excitement that the All-New Thar has created. What is also encouraging is that the All-New Thar has resonated well with lifestyle seekers, families & women buyers, thereby opening-up an entirely new set of customers for this iconic lifestyle 4X4 SUV. Despite test drives being available in just 18 cities to begin with, we have received over 9,000 bookings for the All-New Thar, since its launch, which is unprecedented for this segment. Our endeavour is to ensure that test drive vehicles are available in the rest of the country at the earliest, for more people to experience and book the All-New Thar.

The interest surrounding the all-new Thar, which is based on the next-generation Mahindra Scorpio platform, has been very high right from the day it was first unveiled on the 15th of August, 2020. Since its launch on October 2, 2020, the All-New Thar has received over 36,000 enquiries and more than 3.3 lakh website visitors. The sharp price tag on launch day has further piqued interest of buyers seeking a lifestyle SUV that performs well both on and off the road.
