Tata Harrier new TVC released: Check it out

Tata Harrier is one of the most popular mid-size sedan in the country. It competes with cars like Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Kia Seltos in the segment. It was one of the most anticipated SUVs launched from Tata Motors in 2019 and is now a very commonly spotted SUV on our roads. Earlier this year, Tata launched an updated version of Harrier in the market with even more features to stay in the competition. Tata has now released a new TVC for the updated Harrier SUV.

The video has been shared by Tata Motors on their official youtube channel and is known as Open up to life. This is basically pointing towards the newly added panoramic sunroof feature in the Tata Harrier. The panoramic sunroof which was earlier available with top-end trims is now available with XT+ trim as well. XT+ is placed above regular XT and below XZ version of the Harrier.

The updated Harrier comes with features like redesigned alloy wheels, new colour options, redesigned ORVMs on the outside. On the inside, it gets electrically adjustable driver side seat, huge panoramic sunroof and  auto dimming IRVMs. It continues to offer features like touchscreen infotainment system, JBL speakers, leather upholstery and so on. Apart from that no other changes are made to the design of the SUV.

One of the major feature that was missing in the Harrier when launched in 2019 was that it did not offer an automatic gearbox. After looking at the customer demand Tata finally launched the automatic version of the Harrier with all the above mentioned updates. It is a Hyundai sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission which is quite good to drive. Along with all these updates, Tata Harrier also became BS6 compliant like any other vehicle in the market.

It is powered by the same old 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine but instead of 140 Ps the BS6 version generates 170 Ps of power with 350 Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic versions generate same amount of power and torque. Prices for manual Tata Harrier start at Rs 13.69 lakh, ex-showroom and the automatic version at Rs 16.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The XT+ trim seen in the video is priced at Rs 17.20 lakh, ex-showroom.
