Me and my Cars: Vishwajith Reddy

What are you driving and why?

I drive a BMW M5 (F90) because it has supercar-like performance and yet is one of the most practical cars you can buy. Plus, it is a hoot to drive on the track and on the drag strip. I also ride a BMW S 1000 RR M.

What’s next on your wish list?

It has to be a Porsche GT car. Hopefully, the 992-gen 911 GT2 RS, when it’s released.

The most fun you’ve had in a car?

All track days are super fun! Hard to pick one, but it would have to be driving the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS around Buddh International Circuit in Noida.

Favourite/Dream money-no-object car?

The Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster. Manual gearbox, naturally-aspirated V12, stunning design and a convertible – can’t think of a better combination!

Who is your all-time greatest motorsport hero?

James Hunt, because he was a great driver who lived life to the fullest. Also, the rivalry between him and Niki Lauda was legendary.

Favourite road?

The Pacific Coast Highway in California, USA.

What’s on your automotive bucket list?

Drive the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR (991) around the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

What would you do with your last litre of fuel?

Drive up a steep winding mountain road until I run out, just so I can roll back without fuel. Maximising my last litre!

Your ideal five-car garage would be?

1. Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster

2. Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR (991)

3. Mercedes- AMG G 63 6x6

4. Rolls-Royce Phantom

5. BMW M5 CS (F90)

What was your first car?

It was a Skoda Laura RS in 2011. I miss that car a lot!
