TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP launched at Rs 83,275

TVS has launched a more powerful version of the Ntorq, called the Race XP, at Rs 83,275.

  • The Race XP makes more power and torque

  • Features two riding modes – Race and Street

  • Costs around Rs 8,000 more than the standard Disc variant

The Ntorq is now available in a total of five specifications – Drum (Rs 71,095), Disc (75,395), Race Edition (78,375), Super Squad Edition (81,075) and the latest, the Race XP. Unlike the other variants, the Race XP has revisions to the engine, and makes a claimed 10.2hp at 7,000rpm and 10.8 Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This is an increase of 0.8hp and 0.3Nm of torque over the other models. The company has also said that this variant is lighter than the other models, but hasn't revealed the kerb weight figure yet.

As a result, this version of the scooter has a claimed top speed that’s higher, at 98kph, and the company says it has excellent acceleration in Race mode. The other riding mode, Street, is said to be ideal at slower speeds and it promises to increase fuel efficiency numbers. We will put this to the test as soon as we get the chance.

TVS has also updated the user interface of the TVS Connect mobile application for this scooter. It will now accept over 15 different voice commands, ranging from launching navigation to changing modes, through any connected Bluetooth listening device. Lastly, it also features a new three-tone colour scheme and red-coloured alloy wheels.
