Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: accessories list

The Xtra Edition model stands out from the standard WagonR line-up, thanks to some cosmetic additions like front and rear bumper protectors, side skirts, wheel arch cladding, body side mouldings and chrome garnish for the front grille, back door and number plate.

The company is also providing an “interior styling kit”, along with an air inflator, trunk organizer and car charge extender. The company has said that these accessories will be fitted to the VXi models at the dealer level.

Do note, Maruti offers these equipment as a part of its genuine accessories range as well. But if bought individually, they will set the buyer back by almost Rs 33,000. However, as part of the Xtra Edition, the whole package is available for Rs 23,000.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: standard features

Based on the VXi version, the Xtra Edition model comes with standard features like split-folding rear seats, tilt-adjustable steering, remote locking, 2-DIN infotainment system and power adjustable wing mirrors.

On the safety front, it gets ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, seatbelt reminder and a driver airbag. A passenger airbag for the co-driver is only available if one opts for the VXi(O) variant.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: engine-gearbox options

The WagonR Xtra Edition can be had with any of the powertrain options available on the VXi trim, including the 68hp, 1.0-litre and 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol mills. Both engines are mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR: rivals

The complete WagonR line-up extends from the 1.0 LXi priced at Rs 4.81 lakh, to the 1.2 ZXi AMT priced at Rs 6.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As such, the model rivals other budget hatchbacks like the Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago

Maruti is also readying the second-gen Celerio, images for which leaked recently, revealing its complete design. The new model is expected to share its platform and powertrains with the WagonR, with a launch slated in the coming weeks.
