2020 Honda Jazz BS6: Teased with LED headlamps

Japanese car manufacturer Honda, earlier this month released a teaser image of the upcoming BS6 version of their premium hatchback Jazz. Now, Honda has revealed teased us with another image that reveals a bit more about the BS6 version of the Honda Jazz.

The latest image released by Honda shows the headlights and also gives a fair idea on how the front of the BS6 version would look like. Starting with the headlights, the BS6 version would be getting all LED headlamps just like other Honda cars. The BS6 Honda Jazz would also get an LED DRL that makes it look a bit more premium.

The design of the grille looks similar to the one seen on the BS4 version. Next changes that is expected to be seen is in the bumper area. The front bumper of the car is likely to be redesigned and it would get an LED fog lamp setup too.

Just like the front bumper, the rear bumper of the BS6 Honda Jazz is likely to be redesigned. Overall design of the car is likely to remain unchanged except for minor cosmetic changes. On the inside it will offer all the features that the BS4 version used to offer. One of the changes on the inside could be the updated touchscreen infotainment system.

BS6 Honda Jazz will offer the same set of engines that were offered before. It will get the 1.2 litre petrol engine that generates 90 Bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Honda is likely to offer the Jazz with diesel engine too. The 1.5 litre diesel engine that 100 Bhp and 200 Nm of torque. It is the same diesel engine that is offered on Honda Amaze.

Both petrol and diesel engines would get manual gearbox as standard whereas the petrol version will get the option of a CVT gearbox as earlier. There is a possibility that Honda might introduce the diesel variant with a CVT gearbox too. None of the diesel powered premium hatchbacks in India offer an automatic option and if the facelifted Jazz gets the CVT gearbox, it’ll be a best-in-segment feature.

The official launch of the BS6 Honda Jazz is being delayed due to the ongoing Corona Virus lockdown situation in the country. Honda will be launching the car in the coming months. With all these updates and an updated BS6 compliant engine in place, the price of the car is likely to go up.
