BS6 TVS Scooty Zest 110 to launch soon

TVS Motor Company is all set to launch the BS6 Scooty Zest 110 in a few days, according to the announcement on the scooter’s official website. TVS is likely to reveal the price of the BS6 Scooty Zest online, and as has been the case with the company’s BS6 scooters, the Scooty will be dearer by Rs 5,000-7,000.

The BS6 Scooty Zest 110 will be powered by a fuel-injected motor, and TVS could equip it with the same ET-Fi technology that we've seen in the BS6-compliant Jupiter Classic. As far as power and torque outputs are concerned, we expect a slight drop in comparison to the BS4 Zest's 7.8hp and 8.4Nm of torque.  

Besides the updated engine, TVS could also introduce new colours and upgrade the Zest's headlamp to an LED unit. The rest of the equipment, like the LED DRL and underseat USB charger, will be carried forward from the BS4 model. TVS might also use this opportunity to surprise us with more features, given the fact that it's been a while that the Zest received a comprehensive update.

The rest of the bits, like the chassis, suspension, tyres, etc., will remain the same and that's simply because the Zest didn't require any tweaking in those departments. We've always praised the TVS Zest for its spot-on ergonomics, peppy motor and fantastic handling. It will remain a well-rounded scooter and the BS6 upgrade will only help the Zest build upon its strong attributes.
