Hyundai Verna Facelift: Mileage details REVEALED for all variants
Hyundai had launched facelifted version of their mid-size sedan Verna in the market earlier this month. Hyundai Verna competes with cars like Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento in the segment. The facelifted Hyundai came with number of changes in comparison to the older version. India is a price sensitive market when it comes to automobiles and another factor that we are keen to know about is the fuel efficiency part. Here we have the official ARAI ful efficiency figures of the facelifted Hyundai Verna depending upon the engine variant.
The facelifted version of the Hyundai Verna is available with three engine options. a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine. Both 1.5 litre petrol and diesel come with CVT and torque converter automatic gearbox as an option respectively. The 1.0 litre turbo petrol is only available with a 7 speed DCT gearbox.
The ARAI certified fuel efficiency for Verna 1.5 litre petrol is 17.7 kmpl for manual and 18.45 kmpl for the CVT version. The 1.5 litre diesel has a certified economy of 25 kmpl for manual and 21.3 kmpl for the automatic. The 1.0 litre turbo petrol version that is equipped with a 7-speed DCT gearbox as standard gets a certified economy of 19.2 kmpl.
The facelifted Hyundai Verna looks a bit more premium than before. It gets a wider grill at the front with smoked chrome treatment on it. The higher variants get all LED headlamps and the bumper of the car has also been redesigned. It gets a chrome strip on the lower bottom of the bumper. The 2020 Hyundia Verna gets alloy wheels with new design and the side profile looks very similar to the older version with a sloping roof design.
At the rear, the bumper has been redesigned and the there are slight changed on the boot. Just like any other Hyundai car, Verna is also feature loaded. It gets ventilated seats, touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, multi function steering wheel, connected car features and so on. Price for the facelifted Hyundai Verna 2020 now starts at Rs 9.30 lakh, ex-showroom and go up till Rs 15.09 lakh, ex-showroom. The car rivals the Honda City and the Maruti Ciaz among other C-Segment sedans in India. C-Segment sedans buyers looking for a refined diesel engined option will appreciate the latest version of the Verna’s diesel trims. The same engine does duty on SUVs such as the Kia Seltos and the Hyundai Creta.
