Tata Motors’ new TVC requests social distancing during Corona Virus lockdown

Car manufacturers around the world are spreading awareness by changing their logos and releasing new TVCs on social distancing. India is currently under lockdown and the car manufacturers are doing their bit by making ventilators, face masks and donating money to the relief funds. The car manufacturers are also releasing new TVCs to spread awareness among the citizens to maintain social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic and stay safe. Tata has also released a new TVC that sends the message of maintaining social distancing.
The TVC starts by saying that connections are important in life and we make connections to remind ourselves that we are not alone. But with the present situation on the coronavirus pandemic, it is best to follow the lockdown and remain in isolation. The TVC says that it is important to remain isolated to be together again in the future and that’s how it should be. The TVC revolves around Alone Together theme.
India is currently under lockdown and it will continue till 14th February. The lockdown has affected the economy of the country and also majorly hit automobile sales. All the manufacturers have shut down their production facilities too. This comes at a time when the automotive sector was already getting affected because of the slowdown of the economy. Nonetheless, to overcome the slowdown in the market and keep the line-up fresh, Tata has come with a new strategy.

Under the new strategy, Tata plans to launch an update or a special edition of their vehicles every 2-3 months. Currently, Tata offers one of the newest cars in the market. The brand updated their whole line-up including the entry-level Tiago and Tigor in the market. Tata also launched the facelifted version of the Nexon in the Indian market and also launched the electrified version of the sub-4m SUV. The latest launch from the brand came in the form of the Tata Harrier, which was launched with a new BS6 compliant engine that now produces more power compared to the last version of the vehicle. The new Tata Harrier produces a maximum power of 170 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. Tata has also introduced the new 6-speed automatic transmission with the Harrier.

Tata will soon launch the seven-seater version of the Harrier, which is known as the Gravitas and was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The all-new car will take on likes of Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming MG Hector Plus. Tata will also launch the all-new HBX entry-level SUV to take on the likes of Ignis later this year.
