All-new Kia Carnival: First pictures of the upcoming luxury MPV revealed

Kia Motors really had a great start in the Indian market with their first product – the Seltos compact SUV. Earlier this year at the Auto Expo, Kia Motors launched their second product Carnival luxury MPV earlier this year at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is one of the most spacious vehicle in the segment in that price tag and is doing decent in terms of sales as well. Now, the South Korean manufacturer is planning to launch an all-new Carnival and had recently revealed teaser sketch of the same. Here are pictures that reveal what the upcoming Kia Carnival MPV will look like from outside.

Kia Carnival was never a small vehicle it has ample road presence, spacious interiors and a powerful engine. The pictures revealed are for the fourth generation Carnival and it looks different from the ongoing version. It now looks much more premium of luxurious from outside and the design language is inspired from some of their SUVs. The smooth and curvy character lines have been replaced with more sharper looking line. The headlight design has been completely changed and so is the case with new front grille with chrome inserts. The grille itself has a unique design to it.

The headlights have integrated LED DRL that join with the chrome strip at the lower part of the grille. The bumper has also been updated and gets LED fog lamps with chrome garnish around it. From the side profile, the Carnival looks more or less the same. It has the huge electrically openable sliding door, alloy wheels, roof rails and so on. The fourth generation Kia Carnival will be longer than the current version with a longer wheelbase.

The rear of the 2021 Kia Carnival gets a large LED bar shaped tail light that runs across the boot. The boot itself has been redesigned and looks more aggressive in terms of design than before. It still has a faux skid plates both at the front and rear. Kia has not mentioned anything about the engine but, it is expected to carry forward the same 2.2 litre diesel, 2.5 litre turbo petrol and 1.6 litre petrol hybrid engine.

Kia has only launched the third generation Carnival MPV in Indian market very recently. The fourth generation version of the MPV will be available in International markets later this year or may be next year but, Kia will only be launching fourth-gen Carnival in Indian market in 2022.
