Tata Nexon’s new TVC shows off the compact SUV’s connected car features

Tata Motors had launched the updated Nexon compact SUV in the beginning of this year. It is different from the older version in terms of design and the features it offers. The  Nexon is one of the safest car in its segment and competes with Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the sub-4 meter, compact segment. The 2020 Nexon also gets connected car featuress, which is now becoming common in cars. Here we have an video that shows off Nexon’s latest connected car features.

The video has been uploaded by Tata Motors on their official youtube page. The video starts by showing all the new features that are available in the 2020 BS6 Tata Nexon. The video shows features such as the electric sunroof and Xpress cool button which is newly added to the car. The video then starts concentrating on the connected car features that it offers in the Nexon. It is known as iRA which stands for intelligent Real-Time Assist. The 2020 Nexon Facelift is the first vehicle from Tata Motors to get this feature.

It has connected car features that help it track the car using Geofence, and also gets a find-my car-feature in the smartphone application that’ll help locating the vehicle in parking lots. The facelifted Nexon also has features such as Intrusion Alert, vehicle-crash notification to emergency contacts and live diagnostics of vehicle. The connected car suite even has a voice command feature that is developed to understand Hindi, English and Hinglish languages. The user can control Air-con, Music, calls, Vehicle fuel and range information using voice commands.

The other feature that comes with the new updated Nexon is What3words. This is a step by step accurate navigation feature that is normally seen in high end cars.The connected car feature also analyses the driving style of the driver and provides score which he can improves if he wants by looking at the stats.

Tata Nexon is available with three engine options: petrol, diesel and electric. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol version generates a maximum of 120 Ps and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel variant generates a 110 Ps and 270 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel versions are available with manual and AMT gearbox options. The electric version uses as CVT gearbox and offers a real time range of about 250 kilometers per charge.
