MG Hector Plus TVC: Check it out
MG Motors recently launched their third product Hector Plus in the Indian market. The Hector Plus is a 6-seater version of the Hector SUV that got launched last year. Hector Plus is designed to compete with cars like Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta in the segment and that is why it was launched with a very aggressive price tag. Price for MG Hecor Plus starts at Rs 13.49 lakh, ex-showroom for petrol and Rs 14.44 lakh, ex-showroom for diesel variants. In comparison to the regular 5-seater version, Hector Plus is only Rs 66,000 more expensive. MG has now released a brand new TVC for the Hector Plus that showcases what the car offers.
The video has been uploaded by MG India on their official youtube channel. The video starts by showing the exterior of the Hector Plus. The front of the new SUV gets a slightly larger black chrome studded grille with redesigned LED DRLs. The turn indicators are now placed on the lower part of the bumper with headlamps. The headlamp itself gets a minor revision and the bumper looks a bit more sharp. Overall, the car looks much more premium than the regular Hector.

Coming to the side profile, the design remains the same as Hector but, it is slightly longer because of the revised bumper. The wheelbase of Hector Plus remains the same as Hector. It gets a chrome window line and dual tone alloy wheels. The rear also gets a revised bumper and LED tail lights. One of the segment-first features that Hector Plus comes with is a Smart Swipe feature, which allows the customer to open the tailgate with just a swipe under the bumper.
On the inside, the main attraction is of course the third row of seat that can easily be folded down when not in use. The second row gets captain seats just like what we have seen in Innova Crysta. The tan coloured interiors on Hector Plus give it a much more premium feel. The infotainment system is also updated and the voice assistant now comes with updated chit chat feature.
Apart from this, it continues to share all the other features with Hector. Even the engine used in Hector Plus is the same seen in Hector. It is available with a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine that comes with twin clutch (DCT) automatic and manual gearbox options. The manual petrol also gets a Hybrid system. The diesel version is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged unit that is available with a 6 speed manual gearbox as standard.
